The Machinist, a short review

A working class Fight Club without the laughs or social criticism. The "Tyler Durden" isn't as pretty either and the reson for madness is a little less interesting.

Jennifer Jason Leigh is an ok replacement for Helena Costume Drama though.

One thing I will give it. The industrial accidents were completely, crawl out of my skin unwatchable.

I'm starting to worry about Christian Bale though. He's played American Psycho, The Machinist and The Batman. Is there something he's trying to tell us? Is this a cry for help? Enquiring minds want know.

Can Tom Cruise help Christian Bale out? Given that I don't know much about the history of psychiatry (from Freud psychoanalysing his family, to BF Skinner's boxes) I wouldn't want to recommend he see a shrink. Maybe with some work on the e-meter Tom can help Christian become an operating thetan.
